The Italian founder of 2Running Club - featuring Sabastian Sawe and Emmanuel Wanyonyi - sat down with us for an honest and open discussion about a huge range of subjects.
In the first half, we discuss Claudio’s unconventional journey to become a running coach (having previously raced as a cyclist and studied sports science), the highs and lows of living and coaching in Kenya - including the doping culture that is casting a shadow over the country, including past athletes he has worked with - and his coaching techniques.
In the second half, Claudio gives an insight into Sawe’s targets in the future and Wanyonyi’s chances of breaking the 800m world record.
